All About Antique Hair Combs

There are some beautiful antique hair combs made from a wide variety of exquisite materials. Although not usually worn in this day and age, they are considered collector’s items. Ornate or simple, they showcase the skill and taste of their corresponding eras.

Hair combs were popular throughout every era but particularly in the Victorian era through the Art Nouveau era. In the Art Deco era, hair became shorter and hair clips and smaller hair ornaments were more often in style.
